LONG-RANGE PRECISION RIFLE SIMULATORMADE IN FINLAND

MEASURE. CALCULATE. SHOOT. CORRECT.

Measure. Calculate.
Make the hit.

Read the range and conditions. Work out the shot. Experience long-range precision shooting in the quiet of a Finnish forest.

01 / THE WORK BEHIND THE HIT

Your measurements.
Your solution.

Farsteel supplies the measurements. The solution is yours. Zero your rifle, build your DOPE card and bring your own ballistic calculator. Every impact tells you something about the next shot.

The game gives you data. You make the decisions.

Paper and steel. No enemies, animals or hit markers. Just you, the conditions and the next shot.

02 / THE DETAILS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

Physics doesn’t guess.
Neither should you.

From the bullet’s trajectory to the scope’s optics. A simulation you can check against your own calculations.

SIM.01 / G7

Ballistics you can check.

Every shot follows a point-mass trajectory solver with G7 drag. It accounts for gravity, air density, weather conditions and wind along the entire trajectory — including spin drift and the Coriolis effect.

SIM.02 / FFP

A scope that behaves like a scope.

First-focal-plane mil reticles keep their subtensions true at every magnification. A 5–25× scope, 0.1 mil clicks, zero stop and revolution indicator. Parallax and scope shadow affect what you see.

IN THE FORESTS OF CENTRAL FINLAND

The quiet of the forest.
The ring of steel.

03 / REAL TERRAIN. YOUR OWN WAY.

A forest that
really exists.

The first map begins with real Central Finnish terrain. A one-metre elevation model, airborne laser scans and open forest data bring the details into your scope. Find the targets yourself. Their distances are never displayed.

04 / THE WORK CONTINUES

Made by a shooter.
Refined together.

Farsteel is developed by Soontek, a one-person studio in Finland. The developer is a long-range shooter himself. Early Access is planned to bring other shooters into the process, refining the simulation with their feedback.

NOWIN DEVELOPMENT

Towards the first release.

G7 calculator comparisons, mil optics and a forest map built from real terrain form the foundation. Shot mechanics, the shared wind field, plate movement, sound delay and task progression are in development.

2027PLANNED

Early Access on Steam.

Planned for PC (Windows), in English and Finnish. Mouse and keyboard. The exact date and price will be confirmed later.

THEN

Better with your feedback.

Early Access is expected to last 12–18 months. The plan is to refine the shooting and compare ballistics with players’ measured velocities and DOPE. The timeline may change.
